From Google News, quoting The Washington Post:

NEW ORLEANS, April 14 - Gunmen armed with an AK-47 rifle and a handgun opened fire in a packed high school gym today, killing a 15-year-old youth and wounding three teenage girls in a spray of more than 30 bullets that sent students scrambling for cover.

Four suspects, ranging in age from 15 to 19, were arrested in a sweep of the neighborhood near John McDonogh Senior High School, about a mile north of the French Quarter. Police Superintendent Edwin P. Compass said he did not know if the suspects attended the school.

It was not immediately clear how the guns got through metal detectors and guards at the school. Students and school security officers said there was a hole in the fence near the gym.

Metal detectors and security guards to stop kids taking guns to school, and armed teenagers settling disputes by shooting each other. I'm so glad I didn't grow up in America...

That's it, dammit!!!!

I say we call for an immediate ban on all schools!!!!

How many children must die before something is done?!?

Glad to see that terrorist attacks by al Queada have not hampered a favourite past-time of celebrating "Adolf Hitler Week", its his birthday April 20th.

If school shootings stop, then bin Laden has won.

Is there a pattern?
