Once again, we're Drinking Skeptically at TAM!

Co-hosted by New York City Skeptics, National Capital Area Skeptics, and Center for Inquiry-Washington, DC, this year's Drinking Skeptically at TAM will be held on Thursday, July 8, 2010 starting at 9:00 PM in the Silverado Lounge of the South Point Hotel & Casino.

There is no charge to attend--whether or not you want to drink, just stop by, get to know your fellow TAM attendees, and enjoy the company of skeptics from all over the world.

Specially designed t-shirts to commemorate this event will be soon be available for pre-order. The price will be $15, and shirts will be available for pickup during TAM registration and at the event (all proceeds will go to support the three co-sponsoring groups).

See you there!

That's too far to walk from the Del-Mar Lounge. Is there a shuttle?

Silverado is a smaller bar area than Del Mar Lounge. Just sayin'. Overflow will end up there anyway.

I'm sure there will be a lot of traffic between the two lounge areas especially if we have even more TAM attendees this year than last. Maybe we could just take over the whole hotel . . . and I thought the Silverado did have a better selection of draft beer than the Del Mar last year.

20vturbo, don't forget the Del-Mar bar! We can always bounce between the two!

Memories...!

We will try to do both this year! We also will be bowling, so it will be a busy evening!

Skeptically Drinking? Does that mean you require empirical evidence of alcohol content before you believe that you are drunk?

Real Rebecca or Fake Rebecca***?
That's Fauxbecca.

What is Del-Mar bar? I'm a noob
It should be noted that BOTH the Del-Mar bar and the Silverado lounge are located in the South Point hotel. They are a mere 3 minute walk from each other. (But, since there is a lot of glaring gaming devices between them, they are hardly visible from each other.)

Scrut is a lazy slob.

For some people: Yes, that would seem to be the case.

3 min? I could crawl between them in 3 minutes. It's more like 30 seconds. But I still demand a shuttle.

It might be 3 minutes for a newbie. The general layout of these casino floors can be very confusing and distracting to someone who hs not traversed them before.

Yes, it would be 30 seconds for those who have experience navigating through that muck of slot machines and waitress stations.

And, it's nice of you to admit you are a lazy slob. :)
