I've had a look at them and they're good, covering the basics of critical thinking, confirmation bias, patterns, logic, fallacies and bad arguments. Well worth 14 minutesAustralian outfit Bridge 8, who have the admirable mission of devising “creative strategies for science and society,” and animator James Hutson have created six fantastic two-minute animations on various aspects of critical thinking, aimed at school ages 8 to 10, or kids between the ages of 13 and 15, but also designed to resonate with grown-ups.
Part 1: A valuable argument; covers basic logic and structured arguments
Part 2: Broken Logic; more logic and fallacies
Part 3: The Man who was made of straw
(This could be very useful on this forum as a standard response to people who use this tactic.)
Part 4: Getting Personal
(Ditto.)
Part 5: The Gambler's Fallacy
Part 6: A precautionary tale
