Animal Communicator Readings

I'd like to learn how to pose as an 'Animal Communicator' or pet psychic. I would especially like to learn how to perform the routine convincingly over the telephone.

I have no interest in charging for it or in committing fraud. I do think it would be fun to perform it as an entertainment.

It is becoming so commonplace for owners of horses and dogs to pay for 'readings' of their pets via telephone (with the owner, not the pet on the phone, of course), that I have given up trying to convince my friends that Animal Communicators are fakes. I decided to learn how to do it myself.

If anyone can offer some tips or recommend resources, please post here if applicable or contact me privately. Thanks. :D

It's precisely the same as psychic mediumship, with the fantastic loophole butt-covering bonus that animals can't confirm or deny your statements. So for the most part you would be cold-reading the owners, but at the first sign of trouble (i.e. lots of misses) or even just to boost the overall effect, you can tell the owner that their pet thinks or feels X thing, or even gets up to X activity without their knowledge.

Buy a copy of Ian Rowland's "Full Facts Book of Cold Reading".

Please be careful though - you must let people know after a reading that you're not for real.

And even more importantly -- do not start to believe what you are doing is real. This is a trap you can easily fall into and can be quite deadly. :(

Gosh, I sure see that all over the place, when looking at 'Animal Communicator' websites. It seems like most of those gals really do think they're the real deal. I thought I nearly had one talked into taking the James Randi challenge, but she said that would cause her 'too much pain.'
