A former Israeli space security chief has sent eyebrows shooting heavenward by saying that earthlings have been in contact with extraterrestrials from a "galactic federation."

"The Unidentified Flying Objects have asked not to publish that they are here, humanity is not ready yet," Haim Eshed, former head of Israel's Defense Ministry's space directorate, told Israel's Yediot Aharonot newspaper.

Eshed said cooperation agreements had been signed between species, including an "underground base in the depths of Mars" where there are American astronauts and alien representatives.

"There is an agreement between the U.S. government and the aliens. They signed a contract with us to do experiments here," he said.

I can never envision any civilisation anywhere investing the massive costs required to send their own little green men across interstellar distances. The energy costs involved, even using fairly fantastic technology, are just so high I can't conceive of any circumstances that would make it worth it.

Transmitted messages - yes. Automated fly-by's - maybe. 'Manned' missions with sufficient energy and propellant to stop once they got here and go flying around in the atmosohere - no.

This is so stupid it's hard to believe. But how cool would it be if this were true!?

Not only would there be contact with alien intelligence, but it would instantly tell all the flat earthers they could just **** right off!

The way UFO enthusiasts tell the story, it doesn't blow their minds to know "for a fact" that aliens exist and visit Earth, but it would blow everyone else's minds. And that's why UFO enthusiasts are somehow better than other people. The elite can know, but it has to be kept hidden from everyone else.

There's a neuroscientist whose name escapes me at the moment. His field of study includes the neurological payoff you get from the belief that you know, or have discovered, something to which others aren't privy.
 
If it turns out that Trump is actually some sort of extra-terrestrial alien, then that sure would explain a great deal.

I wouldn't especially doubt that aliens are real, as I think it's quite likely there are other life forms in the universe. But the Trump part makes it incredible - no way could he not blab about it.
