As many on JREF are aware, there was a dominate theory at one point that AAL77 was landed at some point after being lost by ZID radar around 12:57 and its reappearance over Charleston, WV at around 9:05. I will be doing another field trip to tie up some loose ends next month, starting at the Tri-State Airport (there was some speculation that it did an emergency landing there) in Huntington, WV on the 12th of April, followed by Yeager AP in Charleston on the 13th.

If you guys are aware of any other 'landing' or 'take-off' scenarios in the area, let me know. I've got to be in Arlington the evening of the 13th, but I've got enough time to make a few additional stops along the way if there are any other speculative nonsense that needs to be examined or verified.

By the way, so far Huntington (airport or people living in the area) does not know anything about a 757 making an 'emergency' landing on 9/11 around 9:00 am.

Who started those delusions? Sporty landing, and takeoff. RADAR never got close to Tri-State.

The "Bumble Planes" theory was espoused in the earliest version of "Loose Change" I believe.

You guys are not being much help. Someone give me a clue where to look for the secret NWO/CIA landing strip up in them thar hills.

It's one mile NNE from the grey aliens artificial insemination bigfoot farm.
just look for the big syringe.

They disguise them as coal mines they even hire the local yokels to help and those dupes really think they're mining coal but we know what's really going on, right.:eye-poppi

 You guys really aren't helping ya know. I need the coordinates of the darn thing. If I go wandering around them thar hills aimlessly, either the moonshiners or the pot farmers are going to mistake me for a revenue'r. Surely this is something the board CT folks could give me some guidance on.

Maybe the GE image will help. ATC Chuck Thomas considered Tri-State as a possible emergency landing site since the 'coast track' pointed in that general area. At the time, they were still thinking electrical/mechanical problems or a crash since they had not learned of the WTC attacks by then (the controller Thomas relieved for a break heard about it first on CNN playing in the break room). Also, the rumor of smoke in the Charleston, WV area puts Yeager in play.

I just don't see many other possibilities in the area for landing a 757 left to check out, but I'll defer to more imaginative minds. My motel in the area is pegged (got one right under the flight path), so as you can see I pretty much will be positioned to check out any leads you guys can come up with.

Sorry, John, the only "landing" myth I'm familiar with is UA93 at Cleveland, not AA77 somewhere else. I wish I could help, but you obviously are more familiar with the claim than I am.

Not really. When I started looking into AAL77 years ago, the notion was that when it went off radar during its turn, the plane was landed and either a drone, global hawk, A3 or something else replaced it immediately after the turn.

I'm just trying to be objective and examine this as a possibility. I mean Robin Hordon just did an affidavit for the Court asserting pretty much this very thing.

AA77 was lost to positive radar contact in eastern Ohio and nobody, at any facility, in any location, at any time during the events of 9/11/2001 or thereafter, has ever re-radar identified any target flying anywhere as being AA77. AA77 became lost to positive radar contact and remains so today.
The high speed eastbound primary radar target eventually seen by Danielle O’Brien at Dulles Tower-Potomac Approach, and which went on towards WDC, and then which made a large right handed turn into or over the Pentagon, has only been PRESUMED to be AA77..

How is it a possibility given that body parts identifying all the passengers was found inside the Pentagon alongside essentially the entire body of the 757 that was Flight 77?

In all seriousness, why would you waste your time investigating claims this absurd? You yourself know that AA77 was recorded on radar for the entirety of its flight. Did FAA primary radar records indicate a second contact "replacing" AA77 at any point? No. No need for a field trip.

Thanks for the words of encouragement. Blame it on my old history professor Dr. Dubay. The man refused to have a textbook for his class and insisted that his students track down all available primary historical sources when researching a subject. Man I loved his classes....

Headed out Monday morning on my little field trip. The 12th I will visit Tri-State airport and then Yeager on the 13th. Afterwards I'll head on to Arlington. I'll be at the Arlington Public Library at 1:00 pm on the 14th (Virginia Room). So if anyone has any special requests, let me know. However, I will not be bugging any of the eyewitnesses again. They have been harassed enough.

All the best, BCR. Keep us posted.

Cheers,
Lash
