A video I found that "debunks" Penn & Teller's episode about 9-11.

Note: This is yet another video that claims one "Fact" after another about 9-11. So don't watch it if you don't want to lose a few brain cells. Take this as a small "Debunking for dummies" post.

The author shows 10 "facts" in order to debunk the theory that 9-11 was done by muslims.

Author's Commentary:

Penn and teller are a bunch of ********ters Why is that?, they show no evidence and call everyone who thinks 911 is an inside job ******** and tell them to push people who have books about it down flights of stairs. I know, Penn usually goes a little off-rails when dealing with stuff like this. Visit Prisonplanet.com and infowars.com Alex Jones. Zzzzzzz....

00:01= "Listen to the facts, use logical reasoning!" Yeah, because that's what are you going to do for the next 2 minutes, "logical reasoning".

00:11= I don't know about you, but I saw this video and I saw a bunch of stuff that pretty much debunks a few "facts".


00:30= "They claim there is NO evidence whatsoever that 911 was not what it is said to be. FALLACY!" This is true. All the evidence you CTs present have been easily debunked over and over with a little bit of "Logical Reasoning".

00:40= The "Steel doesn't melt at the temperature of burning jet fuel". That's true. But, steel heats, and weakens, and bends under the weight of 20 floors.

00:51= Blurry picture of something in the sky, over the Twin Towers that are on fire. It could be easily the news chopper that was flying around when the first tower collapsed. There is NO explanation whatsoever of this picture. The author just "shows it", saying basically "I'll let you be the judge lol blurry picture conspiracy!!1"

00:57= Operation Northwoods claim. Yes, maybe it DID happen, those were hard times. But it clearly states "Blame it on the cubans". Not the muslims. You are making a fallacy. "They tried to blame terrorist attacks on the cubans, so 9-11 is an inside job!"

00:57= Fact 4: A 44ft plane leaving a 16ft hole on the pentagon, leaving no trace of wreckage. Obviously he doesn't even mention the black boxes found, nor the piece of fuselage, nor the engines, nor the landing gear! Also, the plane didn't hit the pentagon by it's side, it went directly in front of it. The front is about 12ft 4 inches wide. (Someone confirm me on this). Also, the 16 ft hole was made by the landing gear.

01:07= Pictures of the NWO. It had to happen sooner or later.

01:13= Silverstein NEVER, EVER said that WTC7 was a controlled demolition. I don't think that anybody in the world is so stupid to reveal their "secret plans" to the media. He said "Pull it", a firefighter term to retreat and leave the area ASAP. He didn't even say it. He say "They decided to 'Pull it'". No me, No we. THEY. Search on the forums, you'll find plenty of information about it. Fact 5: No evidence of George Bush Senior being picked up by a plane. There's evidence that the lightpoles were thrown down when Flight 77 crashed. I don't see the relation between flight 77 and Bush Senior being picked up by a plane.

01:24= Picture of the Illuminati. Again, had to happen sooner or later.

01:31= Fact 6: I'm not really sure that the plane even touched the ground. Can someone confirm this? Fact 7: I'm not even saying ANYTHING about this. You don't swallow the "Official story", yet you take Bin Laden's word as the truth? Also, no evidence of CIA agents talking to Bin Laden, etc.

01:45= Fact 8: No evidence of that. Fact 9: Again, no evidence of that. And if it is, how is this even related to the 9-11 attacks? Fact 9 [sic]: Not even related to 9-11.

02:00= Planes leave wreckage? Are you saying that there was no wreckage left on the 9-11 attacks? Well, you gotta tell me what is the engine, the landing gear, and the pieces of fuselage found on the Pentagon. And the rest of the plane that crashed on Shanksville?

Well, this is pretty much it. Feel free to point out errors or non-appropiate stuff.

My absolute favorite part of the Penn and Teller video is when they are interviewing that rich crackpot and commented something like "how much you want to bet he inherited his money"? I nearly fell out of my chair laughing. It was such a funny statement and spot on at the same time.

Kid stuff. If you look the channel for that user, he says he's 30 but most of the videos he's uploaded feature a bunch of teenagers goofing off for the camera. He's just parroting stuff he's 'learned' from truther internet sites.

The comments on that video are pretty funny, though.

Kid stuff. If you look the channel for that user, he says he's 30 but most of the videos he's uploaded feature a bunch of teenagers goofing off for the camera. He's just parroting stuff he's 'learned' from truther internet sites.

I can't edit the message anymore, but I'd like to point out that at 00:40, he says that "firefighters heard a controlled demolition".

1) Argument from Authority fallacy: The firefighters said it, then it must be true.
2) Reasonable doubt: How does a "controlled demolition" sounds like? The "explosions" that the firefighters heard could have come from anywhere, from leaked gas to a shockwave traveling down, say, the elevator shaft.
3) Lack of knowledge of the situation: Firefighters heard a "controlled demolition". Where? South Tower, North Tower, 150m away from the WTC complex? When? When X building collapsed, when X plane hit? Etc.

Looking over that channel again here’s something a bit odd about it. Along with the teen boys goofing off videos, there is stuff for Ron Paul and a ‘Bush is Hitler’ video that looks like the work of an adult. I’d have to say the guy is probably is 30 and likes videos with teenage boys goofing off. Where he got the videos with the teen boys in them is not clear.

Look at fact 9 from that video. It's "The Federal Reserve is a Private Bank created in 1913" and also, something about it being illegal to tax labor, in the Constitution.

And this relates to 9-11, how? And of course, it's all stuff that anyone in contact with the "Truth Movement" has seen 100's of times. Lame.
