100,000? Again? The man has draw. Of course in keeping with the Obama financing threads I guess we have to assume many of those people were foreign nationals and mannequins. :D

No, no! Because after the election he'll never be seen again, doncha know? You really need to work on your spinning.:D

This part of the rally was shown on the SBS news in Australia last night:

Obama also jumped on McCain's comment, made during an interview on NBC's "Meet the Press," that he and President Bush share a "common philosophy" of the Republican Party.
"I guess that was John McCain finally giving us a little straight talk, owning up to the fact that he and George Bush actually have a whole lot in common," Obama said.
"Well, here's the thing," he added. "We know what the Bush-McCain philosophy looks like. It's a philosophy that says we should give more and more to millionaires and billionaires and hope that it trickles down."
Obama, though, did not quote McCain fully.
The Republican presidential candidate also said: "I've stood up against my party, not just President Bush, but others; and I've got the scars to prove it." He also offered specific examples of differing with Bush, from Iraq strategy and deficit spending to campaign finance reform and climate change.

Meh. When does one candidate ever quote the other fully? The idea of that is just silly. Is Obama supposed to quote McCains entire stump speech to address any one point he wants? I dont know of a campaign ever in either of the countries I have lived in where one candidate didn't use snippets of what the other one said against them.

4000 as compared to 100,000?!!

Well, McCain could always say that it isn't the size of the political rally that matters, but instead...

... urrr...

Nah, that won't work. Because this is one of those situations where size does matter! :D

I think McCain is in serious need of some political "Viagra" ;)

Now don't be silly. We all know that the people at these huge Obama rallies are just unemployed, homeless folks who are paid to be there for the cameras. Either that or the Democrats have perfected hologram technology to the point where it can project realistic 3-D images of large numbers of people. Or it could just all be a lie by the elitist, liberal MSM...

You and your wacky notions, sheesh!

Hey the MILF thing didn't do it for him so maybe. I think Cialis lasts longer though doesn't it?

Did they count the people milling about outside the stadium who didn't get in to see Obama after the Fire Marshall shut the gates?

When I attended the Biden rally in Tacoma, the line was half a mile long when I fell in on the end of it. Luckily, a campaign worker came through and pulled all the elderly and disabled to the front of the line, so I didn't have to stand there that long. I had an opportunity before the speeches began to look back out at the line. The stadium was about 80% full and the line didn't look a bit shorter. I am not sure how long it was exactly, but I could tell that it disappeared from view well back from where I fell in an hour earlier.

That Obama has the kind of draw he has in what should have been McCain country says a bit, I think.

Even the second bannana outdraws their front man. Biden drew 12000, officially, in a crappy stadium in a hard-to-reach location with inadequate parking, so that some people had to walk three or four miles from their cars..

Are you still happy with making this about personalities, Senator McCain?

Are you including "illegal aliens" in with "foreign nationals"? Because, as you know, Obama gets all the illegal aliens to come in to get their drivers licenses.

Then, he goes and blows it all by pandering to the religious right and choosing a complete nitwit as a running mate.

Now, he and Palin add insult to injury by barking out stupid allegations ("socialist") as they spiral out of control to their richly deserved flaming doom.

"McCain has not lost popularity, but rather the audience has become more... selective"

Population :

Fort Collins....128,026
Denver .........554,636
Berlin...........3,400,00

Only 45,000 in Fort Collins?

I'd say he drew very well, indeed.

yeah, just more Democratic spin. The trend is unmistakable. The guy's lost it. Washed up. Flash in the pan.

He'll be lucky to draw in the double digits at his inauguration.

LOL !

I'm looking forward to John & Sarah's rendition of "Stonehenge", with Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity as the dancing gnomes.

I think he'd do better at the mixer at that air force base. Sarah would probably be a big hit. As long as he can keep his mikes off the air traffic control channel.

Q: what is the similarity between Sarah Palin and one of Spinal Tap's drummers?
A: They both spontaneously cumbusted.
