GW is not going to get impeached. Are we over that one?

My question is, if he could be removed without acrimony (which is a major reason why I think impeachment is a bad idea) would you support it? That is to say, suppose the option was let George continue on for 3 (shudder) more years or immediately have Dick Chaney as President for those 3 (shudder) years?

Pick, dammit. No pussyfooting, no "if then else" crap. Grow a pair and pick an option. Bush or Dick.

I'm more partial to Bush myself....but if you like Dick...welllll....
I'm in the "not that there's anything wrong with it" camp.

I'm going to stick with Bush. Bush seems more warm and fuzzy. Dick is hard and unbending.

where is the none of the above option?

My point here is that as pleasent as the notion of dumping bush might be, it is not as simple as that, a fact lost on some members of the loony left who are so consumed by hatred that they really don't care about what occurs later.

So are you a Bush kinda guy or would you take Dick if you had to?

Well my preference is normally for Bush, but a Bush doesn't really go well with "a pair" so perhaps Dick is better. On the other hand this uncertainty might be interpreted as "pussyfooting" which would put me in the Bush camp again. Hmmm...

Oh, forgive me I don't wish to make a mockery of your poll, but now I wonder did I choose Bush while really thinking of Dick.

It doesn't matter who takes over. If a president should be impeached, he should be impeached, regardless of the consequences. Just because the vice president is a cyborg doesn't mean the current president can break the law as much as he wants.

Yeah, but the point is, they didn't give that particular tinman a heart after rebuilding him.

I'll take the scarecrow any day.

That's just anti-social. Go some place else. We don't serve your kind here. ;)

That happened to me in a bar in Mobile (Al) I was wearing a suit and no one else was and I was asked to leave in more or less those terms.

We have to deal with reality. It is fine to say that in an ideal world evildoers are punished regardless of consequences. I suspect that some might justify the Iraq mess because an undoubed evildoer got his just comeuppance. In the real world we have to take the consequences to heart. If I read you correctly, you want Dick. Am I correct? (And I am not judging, just want to know).

In rereading this I think that I might be too strong. Is this close? Your opinion on Dick is independent of your rejection of Bush. Thus, in dismissing Bush you will take Dick. That better?
