Here is a handy listing of those who lead the woo woo movement. Presented without any critical analysis but some useful links. I certainly had not heard of all of them.

John Edward is missing but I guess that's because he doesn't really "teach" anything. Sylvia, of course, is there in all her glory.

I think the ones who irritates me most are those with "legit credibility" because of their traditional training. For example, Weil is a physician, Zukav a physicist, Grey a psychologist. I wonder if they are more dangerous as a result.

So, I'm open to nominations for the following:

Biggest fraud?

Biggest joke?

Most likely sincerely deluded?

Most profitable career thus far?

Serious psychological problems at the root of it all?

Most dangerous?

Other categories (and nominees not on the list) most welcome.

I'm not ready to classify John Gray as woo woo. His teachings may be weak on evidence, but he is not using quantum physics on a macro scale (as D. Chopra does) or claiming that the spirit world is three feet above this world (as S. Brown does) or proposing that "Chemical imbalance always accompanies emotional distress, but does not cause it" (as G. Zukav does).

As for titles, I know who I want to nominate for most litigious, but his name is not on your list.

Th elink has this to say about James Redfield

Quote: Redfield is convinced that humans are about to enter a historic era of enlightenment.

How I wish that would be so.:(

Funny, I immediately though of a guy that would be a strong contender for..........

Biggest fraud?

Biggest joke?

Most profitable career thus far?

Most dangerous?
