A ghost in this photograph?

Hi people,

I asked one of my customers today if she believes in the supernatural and as well as some other spooky things that have happened to her in her house, she told me about a photo from her wedding which appeared to show a ghost in the background.

She kindly sent me a copy of the picture and allowed me to submit it here for further analysis.

With the picture she writes....

"In the background is a white shape, looks like a person, but no feet and quite high above the ground and nobody was there. We have had it enlarged, but still cant make out what it is. We thought it might have been the priest, but it wasn't"

The picture is quite a low quality scan from the original. I have a feeling this will be quickly debunked but I can get a higher quality image should you require it.

Looks to me like someone's folding a sheet or tablecloth (which you might expect at a wedding reception). You can even see the hand at the top of the shape. I don't see anything "ghostly" about it...

It does not look like a person to me. Nor does it look to be above ground.

Still, I can't tell from the information available.

maybe it's a ghost folding a tablecloth
<gasp>

Definately possible. I'll try and find out if there's some background info that could tie in with that explanation.

The bend in the 'tablecloth' does look eerily like hands in pockets...as if the apparition is turning looking the other way.

This is probably the least convincing so called ghost photo I've seen. I agree with those that say it looks like someone folding a table cloth. And how does she know no one was there?

I can't believe you people. You're all worried about the bedsheet in the background, when you are missing the obvious! There's proof of ghosts, right there, front and center!

It's obvious. There's a full-size, invisible ghost standing right in front of the girls. Unfortunately, the only part of it that showed up on film are its shoes.

I guess I'll tell her that you guys don't reckon it's a ghost then lol.

Seems the ghost was either a lady or a man in drag. Unless, of course, it was a shoe thief with a women's high heel fetish.

Actually, I have to be honest, its me. I am the ghost. I arrived for the free food :)

I initially thought this was a person folding a sheet, but sheets are very thin and hang fluidly. This is much different as the white part aparantly has some rigidity. It's a person folding a tablecloth.

Would help to know more about the shot. Is that a church? Was the bride dressed in white? Is the white figure on the side of the building? Rear of the building? Were there tables with white table cloths on them nearby? Did the bride remove a veil or a part of her "train"?

At first I thought it was the edge of a banner someone may have hung on the wall, but I think there is a slight blurring, so tablecloth being folded/shaken out. And you can never have too much chiffon, especially at a wedding.
