2 new Chick tracts

Brilliant! ;)

According to the second one God didn't create the Universe, it was Jesus, at God's request! :D

I won't even start on all of the amazing inaccuracies about Islam.

Nice little jab with the airport too. I rarely wish death on someone, but....

I don't think the second one could be more insulting.
The funny part is, most of the criticisms they apply to the Muslim holy texts are equally applicable to the Bible. i.e. slaves, God turning people into things, polygamy, etc.

The only "solution" is World War III.
Well, thankfully these fundamentalist nuts have no influence whatsoever over.... excuse me, would someone please shoot me in the head?

Now have a look at this as a critique of Islam. Laugh yourself sick with Chick!

Wow! Little Suzy is soooo clever! Why didn't I have friends like that when I was growing up? ;)

Actually, the best little piece of spiritual advice I ever got was from a Muslim. As he sat, gnawing on a pork sausage, I made a comment that I thought he couldn't eat that and he shared this little ditty with me: "It is not what goes into your mouth that is a sin, it's what comes out of it."

By that rationale, Mr. Chick is a sinner of the worst kind.

I think I started to laugh but then got immediately sick :(

I found the first one to be rather rambling. Was it attacking the Jews, or Catholicism? It didn't stay on message, either way. And does Jesus really need a giant arrow pointing to Earth? Couldn't he find it on his own?

The second one threw me. I couldn't concentrate on the holy wisdom of it because I was busy wondering why Little Suzy's grandpa was a pirate. Did he convert? Or was he always very religious? Did he swing over the ratlines, a cutlass and blunderbuss in hand, snarling "Repent, me mateys! Argh!" It simply raised more questions than it answered.

Mr Chick appears in need of http://www.mental-health-today.com/rx/medications.htm#antipsy.

My favorite part. The words "false dichotomy" come to mind.

We have a local talk radio guy who is continually saying all Muslims are terrorists or terrorist supporters, bent on world domination. His evidence? The Koran has passages which ask believers to convert or kill unbelievers…

Deut 13:6-9

If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy daughter, or the wife of thy bosom, or thy friend, which is as thine own soul, entice thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which thou hast not known, thou, nor thy fathers; Namely, of the gods of the people which are round about you, nigh unto thee, or far off from thee, from the one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth; Thou shalt not consent unto him, nor hearken unto him; neither shall thine eye pity him, neither shalt thou spare, neither shalt thou conceal him: But thou shalt surely kill him; thine hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people.

I skimmed the first one at first, but just finished reading it. So is he saying the Arabs are precious but then goes on to say they're evil since they want Jerusalem? And the Jews are still god's chosen people because they'll eventually see "the Light"? That was so damned confusing.

Those are both very disturbing.

Maybe its just my warpped little mind, but I can see them drawing up their little tracts, and writing them, getting off on the idea of the "blood bath" of the heathens. Seems like they were enjoying that a little too much.

You like H. P. Lovecraft. Your sig threatens me with eating.

On the plus side, you know it's just stories, right?

Ever noticed that, for the most part, the 'believers' are drawn beautifully, while the 'non-believers' are usually ugly? Hmmmm.....

Plus, did anyone else think that (in the second tract) the mother's insistance that they HAD to get to the airport Right Away kind of imply some sort of possible terrorist connection? Maybe I'm being paranoid, but.....

Actually, it's more like hate speech in the form of stories.

He also probably did that because the Muslim kid would have started poking the same holes in the little girl's argument.

I still like the one where the devout Muslim becomes Christian, just by talking to the one guy.

A lifetime of religious beliefs, shattered & sundered by the inescapable Logic O' Christ!:D

Hey, Becky doesn’t think so.

I wonder, how’d grandpa lose the eye? Did an Atheist do it?

I bet it was an Atheist. Or maybe a Catholic.
