    Amazing achievment and card handling

This guy -Richard Turner-is incredible least of all as he is blind since 9 years old! His card handling is something else, his stuff is mostly gambling themed sleights. Here he is on Fool Us. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TwFIJyWKs1k Also he's a black belt in karate, anyone interested in...

Penn and Teller on the BBC

OK, I am a rare visitor to this part of the forum what with not knowing nothing about magic but I just saw this and I want to see if my guess of how it's done is right (assuming anyone is allowed to tell me) A guy picks (and signs) a card as Penn (or Teller) is fripping the deck by saying...

Penn & Teller at the Rio, Sunday, July 14, 9pm

There has been some discussion of seeing various Vegas shows in this thread, but nothing concrete yet. Going to see Penn & Teller at the Rio on Sunday evening was mentioned a few times. I'll likely be going, so I thought I'd start a thread about it to gauge interest. The show is at 9pm, but...

    Penn & Teller...FINALLY.

I've been a fan of Penn & Teller for a while and I've always wanted to see them live and I finally got to do it. The experience was just... more than what I expected. Everything was just perfect. The tricks, the interactions, the message. Teller's "Shadows" bit is just exquisite. I only wish I...

Penn & Teller at The Rio

They don't have a Wednesday show the week of TAM, so Saturday or Sunday are likely options for most people, I'd assume. Since the only official event scheduled Sunday night looks like The "Challenge", I think that's the night that I'll be heading over to the RIO. Dinner and cab splitting, anyone?

Words from Teller to Brian Brushwood

http://shwood.squarespace.com/news/2009/9/21/14-years-ago-the-day-teller-gave-me-the-secret-to-my-career.html I admit I've never heard of Brian Brushwood, but I want to thank him for sharing this correspondence. I hope magicians here enjoy it. I did, but then, I'm not a magician.

Penn & Teller - Fool Us

Been away a while... Has anyone been watching Penn & Teller: Fool Us in the UK? For those who don't know, P&T sit in judgement of a few magic acts each week, and if they can't work out how it's done, the act gets to go to Vegas and perform on P&T's stage. Anyway, last night they had a...

    Penn & Teller question

Does anyone know if Penn & Teller will either perform or have some kind of presentation to give during Tam9? We're wondering if we should go to see them perform at the Rio, or will we see them at Tam9? I have a schedule of events and don't see them listed, but their names are on the main page.

TAM 9 Penn and Teller @Rio

It looks like a lot of folks are arriving early for TAM. I would like to go see Penn and Teller at the Rio on Wednesday night before TAM. Anyone else want to come along? Perhaps we can get nearby seats and share the taxi fare.

Da Vinci Code reference in Penn & Teller: ********! ?

Let me first state that I absolutely love Penn & Teller: ********! which is why I was thrown for a little loop tonight after watching the airing of the Organic Food show (Season 7) on Showtime. P&T, or at least the producers, used Da Vinci's "The Last Supper" as the backdrop, with Penn as...

Penn and Teller in Scientific American

It's true! Check out the December 2008 issue. The boys are on the cover. Also mentioned: an upcoming article on a related topic in Nature Reviews Neuroscience, with one of the authors apparently being some guy named James Randi. Randi also gets the authors' thanks for the Scientific American...

TAM 6: When is Penn & Teller show?

Hi, all. I registered for a ticket to the P&T show, which is listed as a "Saturday night show"... but when? It's not on the Flamingo's Web site. The dinner w/ Randy and Al is 8:30. So when's the show? After the dinner? I'm signed up for both, so I need to know. Maybe it's listed somewhere...

Penn & Teller and James Randi - Gatekeepers?

http://www.davidicke.com/forum/showthread.php?t=19058 Some of the comments about P&T on that thread are pretty amusing. As for me, I'm still waiting for my government check. :(

    Penn & Teller's Magic Bullet

After seeing P & T perform the magic bullet live twice, and repeatedly on DVD, and with my knowledge of firearms and ballistics, I think I know how to do it. Testing to begin soon. Yes, I know the dangers, I've been studying conjuring and illusion for 30 years. I don't plan on having my head...

    Mind-reading trick

Hi folks. Spent the last week in Vegas, where I caught Penn and Teller's show (which completely rocked). They did a trick that involved determining which joke audience members would select out of a joke book. Several joke books were passed around the audience and whoever wound up with one of...

    Recycling paper is woo??

I've been catching up on Penn & Tellers Showtime series BS - and just saw their Recycling episode last night. I might have to watch the show again, but I think they were claiming that recycling paper is actually worse for the environment than simply throwing the paper away. The crux of...

    Penn and Teller on Circumcision

The new season of "Bull****!" has started. As Penn announced at TAM3, circumcision would be a topic, and it was the subject of the first show. This was a difficult show to watch, because it was very graphic, and the discussion was very frank. The boys tried to lighten up the mood a little...

I finally got around to watching Penn & Teller's "Bullsh*t" in its entirety, and when they got to the spoonbending segment, my jaw fell open so far it hit the coffee table. People were blatantly using their HANDS?? And Jack Houck was walking around, blatantly HELPING them bend the spoons with...
