Here is the new article of Dr. Sam Parnia:
https://www.nyas.org/news-articles/academy-news/is-there-life-after-death/
He claims the old stuff that NDEs are real-death experiences:

There is more stuff like...
Here is a new interview of Sam Parnia:
http://www.iheartradio.ca/newstalk-1010/audio/ess-what-does-a-near-death-experience-look-like-1.9090657?mode=Article
There are again no mentions of a hit but he claims he has heard several typical stories of NDE where someone was dead and even returned...
Hi
Here is a update of Sam Parnia:
https://youtu.be/MuR_a98Vi2Q
It starts at 35 minutes.
Red Flags so far:
- John Templenton is founding it.
- Parnia believes that everyone has NDEs but they do not remember them. Here I am skeptical and that a lot. Or even when people have these...
Hi folks,
I'm trying to find an online source for a text by now obscure American Nazi William Dudley Pelley. The text is "Seven Minutes in Eternity". It's an account of Pelley's 'near death experience' and the initiation of the 'spiritual' part of his 'journey'.
There are versions available...
I have a new argument pro NDE's:
According to current neuroscience many parts of the brain are involved in the experience of the tunnel, the light, the peaceful feeling, the words 'it's not your time yet' etcetera.
The verbal cortex, the occipital lobes etc. All must be involved.
Chances are...
Wikipedia------ A near-death experience (NDE) refers to personal experiences associated with impending death, encompassing multiple possible sensations including detachment from the body, feelings of levitation, total serenity, security, warmth, the experience of absolute dissolution, and the...
Hey all,
I was wondering - can anyone name a documented case where someone who experienced a NDE recall events that occurred during the time they were pronounced "dead" and confirmed by witnesses?
(For example: a patient is pronounced "dead", and during that time lets say a doctor/witness...
I've been searching around for it, and all indications were it was to be published late-2011, but haven't been able to find it, or any news articles discussing the results. I find the premise to be deeply interesting and am rather bummed that I can't seem to find it.
Have any experiments been made in an effort to prove life after death? I'm sure the results were disasterous but have they been made and what was the conclusion?
Today, I had a discussion with one of my co-workers about some paranormal stuff. He had a passing statement about NDEs that got me thinking:
"If the most widely-accepted explanation for near-death experiences is that the brain itself produces the images because of the lack of oxygen, then why...
A topic spawned from another thread.
The person flatlines, doctors work to bring the person back, he recovers with memories of meeting Jesus. Evidence of God's existence?
Hi I'm wondering if somebody could help me out with a question. Often when I talk to people about NDEs I hear people saying that even if somebody were to die it's possible that the person could have had the NDE beforehand. So what is being implied is that an NDE can occur in a split second and...
I think this is kind of an oddity, and more substantial than your run-of-the-mill NDE.
Write this one off, you cynics without a clue.

And who accurately report what they saw while out of body, such as medical tools, conversations, doctor movements, people in the hallway walking, etc, later confirming to be true, how do you guys explain that?

Thanks. :)
Jari Iivanainen's article about NEAR-DEATH EXPERIENCES AND DAMNATION
http://koti.phnet.fi/elohim/Border_of_death_experiences
Most people are probably curious of what is after death, and beyond the border of death. This many be a reason why they seek knowledge from spiritism-sessions or books...
According to a recent study, NDEs are most likely the result of "REM intrusion" -- activation of the part of the brain responsible for dreams.
US team explains near death experiences
Excerpt:
"Sixty per cent of those who claimed a near death experience said they'd also suffered a "REM state of...
Most of what I have read concerning this subject seems to point to a purely neurological explanation concerning glutamate, NMDA receptor blockers, and agmatine, with the work being done by Dr. Karl Jansen.
Yet it seems there are still critics who feel that this doesn't discount the validity of...
New poster, and just a quick thanks for hours of interesting reading. I often find my thoughts expressed here much better than I could ever attempt.
I am writing a novel about a skeptical paranormal investigator. One plot deals with an NDE his father has where he views a random-number generator...
http://www.monroeinstitute.org/
I'd like to get some opinions on this establishment. The Monroe Institute was founded in 1972 by the late Robert Monroe who wrote 3 books about his "OBEs". The Institute runs all these programs where they claim to be able to teach astral travel, remote viewing...
