Neil Boortz is retiring in January, and Cain is taking over his show, which is syndicated in 200 markets.

The man had no chance to begin with, but he was ridiculously fun to watch. Is anyone else, like me, a little sad that they don't get to see what he'll do next?
Heard some of the latest Cain drama on NPR this morning. Now that he has a mistress, can the Republican base support him? Is it possible to be a Republican candidate and not have committed at least one of the 25 or so "mortal" sins that seems to get conservative voters riled up?
Funniest part...

What are they talking about? Anyone see this? Did he really claim he would "overturn" a supreme court ruling, and if so, what does he possibly mean by this?

This really jumped out at me. The CBO is the closest thing we have to a referee in Congress. Certainly the media will only report bills as "one side says...while the other says..." The CBO will run...
So, basically, what the media is currently saying is that Cain is a better and more respectable man than Bill Clinton. I understand there was some law suits regarding women. The point is this. They were settled and did not drag on forever. That makes Cain a better choice for president than Bill...
Here’s a thread for speculation on who benefited from the Herman Cain exposé. I don’t think it was the Romney campaign since Cain was never perceived to be any real electoral threat. Also if Cain’s support were to go to the other candidates little would go Romney’s way.
So who benefits from...
It's highly impractical to create a thread for each astoundingly imbecilic thing that Herman Cain says or does. Clearly, the Politics section woud rapidly devolve into a Herman Cain forum. (And that's with Bachmann, Perry, Santorum, Gingrich and Paul in the race!) So as a public service, I've...
So it looks like Cain's platform is 'screw the poor.' I don't know any way to describe it.

"Opportunity Zones" where the minimum wage is abolished? What could go wrong?
Herman Cain Says Jesus Was ‘a Perfect Conservative’
"He helped the poor without one government program. He healed the sick without a government health care system. He [fed] the hungry without food stamps. And everywhere He went, it turned into a rally, attracting large crowds, and giving them...
I don't have anything to offer as a prize, other than recognition of great powers of discernment. Nor any objective standard of success.
But, I would like to know if anyone can figure out Herman Cain's position on abortion. In this interview with English Dude (who replaced Larry King) on CNN...
Ramesh Ponnuru is a conservative commentator who writes for National Review. (BTW, the National Review editorial, Bold, Brash, and Wrong, on Cain's plan is equally critical.)
Here's Ramesh's column: Bad Math Hurts Herman Cain’s Good Tax Intentions: Ramesh Ponnuru
A couple highlights:
Here's...
Little nugget of wisdom from Herman Cain:

I find it simply incredible that someone can make a comment like this in an economy like our current...
Cain: Wall St. protesters playing victim card
Anti-American? ANTI-AMERICAN??? Perhaps in some bizarro alternate universe that Cain lives in inside his head, greed, corruption and theft are core American values, but in our world protest is as American as apple pie.
If Obama's economic...
Who here supports Herman Cain and why?
It is a bit of a mystery to me why he has so much support. One guess is White Guilt. I doubt it is the 999 plan or his business achievements.
Latest poll, today, Zogby.

Adam Serwer at Mother Jones has an interesting breakdown of Herman Cain's latest antics.

The conservatives slamm Cain for the ranch issue
But, as Serwer points out, they are mute on criticising Cain for various other comments he has made...
If a white Republican wins the Whitehouse, there is bound to be claims of racism and a rigged election. And the Left may well incite riots the burning of cities. Now, even Morgan Freeman claims the "Tea Party" is racist (with zero evidence). And Janeane Garofalo is convinced the only reason...
