Here is a DIY experiment that should convince the mainstream gravity is a particle once and for all. Using the exact same parameters, you measure the sum of the gravitational attraction of the Moon and the Sun not aligned and aligned. There should be a slight offset if gravitons lose energy by...
I need some help trying to understand why the graviton is postulated to exist in physics? I thought Special Relativity 'explains' gravity, that is Gravity is due to the shape and size of the universe?
I have tried Wikipedia and Google but can't find exactly what I am looking for, I have read...
Now, this is utter speculation, but if there is such a thing as gravitons, what would it imply if they had long, but finite half-life?
Would it create the expansion we see now in the universe?
Would it have any other implications?
Is it just a nutty idea?
Disclaimer: I am basing this entire thing on premises which may be faulty or incomplete. I will try to state my premises up front so you can show me if they are wrong and the incorrect premise propogates to my conclusion.
OK, photons and gravitons are "virtual particles". I understand this...
