I recently purchased for a friend 24ea 430w panels at $175ea at SanTan Solar. They have great deals there all the time. They sell new and used panels. Right now you can buy a pallet of 25 435w Sun Power panels for $3,000.

Really? My buddy's Tesla has a range of 400 miles. That's plenty
And no, the range is unlikely to stay low. Every issue you just mentioned are being addressed. Cobalt is being phased out for example. And methods are being created to effectively recycle and reuse the elements. Batteries are...
I read where this is a distinct possibility. There are problems with battery disposal but overall I believe electric cars are better for the environment.
So..
For the ones who have been following this, there is a competition as the new technology for cars, that is full electric cars, Chevy Volt, Tesla and so on.. vs. the Fuel cell cars, that is Toyota Mirai and the Toyota-Honda-Nissan axis
Both technologies have their pros and cons, who will win...

This guy took something that was not his. I have no problem with this.
Could he say the same thing if he took just a little gas?
Electric cars don't cost pennies to recharge. There is no...
I have two visions:
Version where everyone works together) Air travel is very expensive due to rising fuel prices and is mostly reserved for trans-oceanic trips. City to city travel is otherwise done by fast electric trains. Within cities commutes are done on electric cars or on vastly...
I just noticed this news story about a battery breakthrough, and was wondering about the legitimacy. Apologies if this has been covered already.

Keen follower of electric vehicle progress particularly Tesla motors.
Latest model X has just been released, some very impressive stats 0-60 in 5 secs for a 4WD.

Hi Everyone,
Driving my last internal combustion vehicle. Checking out the Chevy Volt. Here's my question: Who out there can help me with how best to rig a solar charging station for my new Volt? (when I get one).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Patty :)
Factory currently maxes out at 16,000 units/year and they will have a re-tooling shutdown and when they re-open be capable of 60,000 units/year.

Just got a link via email entitled:
EPA Fraud: Chevy Volt, Nissan Leaf Actually Get Only 23, 25 MPG
The blog post's subhead says:
Here's the gist of the argument:
The blogger gives a hypothetical a little later:
Now, I'm not averse to the notion that someone (EPA or auto companies) may...
The ICE can and does sometimes directly power the wheels on the Volt, contrary to what we have been told all along.
It's pretty much a Toyota Prius with a bigger battery, that you can plug in, with considerably worse highway fuel economy.
Not quite as new and innovative as we were told...
Here's some background info:

Most analysis seems to agree that Chevrolet axed its own program, deeming it "unprofitable." Keep in mind the General Motors CEO who ordered its demise, Rick Wagoner, was the same one asked to step aside following...
While I have no doubt that converting the majority of our automobiles to electric from Internal Combustion (IC) will result in an improvement in the environment, I am not certain how great that improvement will be or if that move by itself will be enough.
To explain where I am coming from, I...

Further to the Tesla Roadster, Tesla have unveiled their new model S-Type.
Specs seem very promising: 300 mile range , 0-60 in 6 seconds
Very nice looking motor, would buy one if I had a bit of spare cash ($57,000)
So I hear on the radio this am that we'll soon be able to buy all-electric cars - another year or two. One of the ramifications they spoke of was that your electric bill could jump as your gasoline bill dropped, and that electric companies might charge more if you recharged your batteries during...
I saw a News story about this last night. Not a scam, but definitely going to upset a few applecarts.

Meanwhile, Detroit and Japan are working on it.
:D
Seems they were pretty secretive about this until after the official testing was done...
The automobile Industry seems to be avoiding electric vehicles and going for Hydrogen fuel powered vehicles.
Rechargeable vehicles seem to be an option. Note 2 vehicles as an example:
I can`t post URL`s yet but look under Wrightspeed X1 and teslamotors roadster.
Both vehicles with a 0-60 of...
