    Abbyas is Cool.

911 Conspiracy Wars: Nutters at Ground Zero I just saw it. Loved it. Now, if I were a pig I'd ask you to tell me more about losing your virginity. :D Well, actually, I am a pig but I don't want to appear too creepy so I'll skip that. Hey, good job, it was damn funny and you did a great job...

    Very cool pic

I don't know if anyone else has seen this yet. It's the shuttle and the ISS silhouetted against the sun. Steven

    cool patron

Actually, he wasn't my patron, so I can talk about him. S.T. Joshi was in my library today and I got to chat with him. He was charmed by the fact that I am a card carrying skeptic and we exchanged comments about Randi, Prometheus Books and stuff. Nice guy.

    warm and cool breath

Why is it that when I breathe air out through a wide open mouth, that air is warm? And when I blow air out through pursed lips, that air is cool?

    Cool Animations

The link to the superb Evolution Slider mentioned in this post is now broken. After a quick search, I found the source to be John Kyrk’s homepage, Cell Biology Animation, where there appears to be many other cool animations. I haven't checked them all out yet, but hope you enjoy & find good uses.

    Now that is cool

Well, I just realized, through an accidental miss on copy paste, that firefox does a "I'm feeling lucky" google search on terms you enter in the address bar if they don't match an internet address (after doing a dictionary.com search, apparently). That means if you type "Alkatran" into the...

Anyone know anything cool I can do with my computer?

Screwing around with my computer is my hobby. I've: Tried firefox beta and a ton of extensions Tinkered with 4 firewalls that I don't need because I'm behind a router Google Earth Tried out a buch of tweaks (good and bad) for xp Reinstaled windows Installed Linux dual boot and screwed up my MBR...

    Into the Cool

I was wondering has anyone read this, and does it offer any insights into evolution as Randi is suggestting. I thought that because this is not a closed system, then the 2nd law didn't realy apply, although this statement may not necessarily have anything to do with the 2nd law. Part of the...

    Cool teachers and good ideas

I'm lucky enough to have had some truly amazing teachers during my time in public schools. I was just thinking back on it, and I thought it would be neat to have a thread for people to share some of their good school experiences. Far and away the best teacher I had was Thomas Lenkart here in...

    Dolphins are cool

This is interesting. Dolphins Protect New Zealand Swimmers from Shark Dolphins can see visually and with their sonar that humans are not dolphins, yet these wild dolphins protected the swimmers anyways. That's pretty neat stuff.

Cool, France against the entire EU....

God bless, preserve and keep the French. This story made my day. Quaint? Oui. Desperate? Oh, Oui. Pathetic? Mais Oui. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml;sessionid=JTU42WSUFGWWDQFIQMGSM54AVCBQWJVC?xml=/news/2004/10/25/wfren25.xml&sSheet=/news/2004/10/25/ixworld.html

    Why scientists are cool

This is my first article for Consumed Magazine, a DIY e-zine that I am a staff writer for. It is, unsurprisingly, about all the stuff that I get pissed off about: alternative medicine, cultural relativism and the debasement of science. There's probably not much new there, but I had fun writing...

    Cool Alternative Science Show

I saw a bit of this alternative science show last night on the tele. I don't know if it was a repeat, so some might have heard this before. There were some cool experiments showing various things. The two best ones were wlaking on custard and blowing up a caravan. The first one was about...

    Cool Booksigning

Just saw William Gibson a couple of weeks ago and got my copies of Pattern Recognition, Mona Lisa Overdrive, and Idoru (my only 1st editions by him) signed. It was one of the best book signings I have been to. He is very smart and personable but in a cool, detached sort of way. I have seen...

    Mould is cool!

Okay, so, erm, I was cleaning out my part of the fridge. I threw out some carrots with thick fuzzy blue mould on their tips, a (ahem) empty tomato container with white dots of mould, tiny as pencil tips, scattered throughout the surface, and an old mug of (now dried) tea, with brown mold bits...

    Another cool use for DNA

While I was writing a post in the "Literature and da Arts" forum here, I came across something that's pretty cool. Apparently some painters are now protecting their work from forgers by having some of their DNA added to their paint which is then used to mark a portion of their painting. The...

Glow in the dark fish - COOL!

Not really sure what forum this belongs in, but: Of course, we can expect protests. Pretty cool though! I guess you'd save money on your tank lighting, if nothing else. What I want, though, is a glow in the dark cat. I keep tripping over mine when I get up in the night. ;)
