I just noticed a new book out in our university book store, a photo essay on clouds. The cover shot: http://www.amazon.com/Pink-Flying-Saucers-Other-Clouds/dp/0399534113 is a rather lovely UFO-shaped "lenticular" cloud that could easily have been mistaken for a "saucer" at some distance.
