Found this extremely interesting http://www.haaretz.com/archaeology/1.581345 Grad student translates the missive, written mostly in Greek, which was first discovered by archaeologists in 1899 and had never been decoded.

I vaguely recall a claim somewhere that the Ancient Egyptians, or rather that ancient extraterrestrials showed them, used catapults to give gliders flight. Now, I'm pretty sure that a catapult used to hurl stones is nowhere near as close as a catapult used to send a glider in the sky (I think...
