Isn't it fun when people take dictation from the voices in their head?

It's a beautiful 70 degree Sunday, and out for a Sunday drive, what do I encounter? A Trump rally on the front lawn of a defunct furniture outlet kitty-corner from the Woodfield mall northeast of Chicago. Lots of Trump trucks, Trump flags, U.S. flags, and don't step on snake flags. Lots of bellowing at traffic, and a bit more friendly horn honking than is comfortable.

Across the street is a much smaller Biden group, protected by security guards. A truck goes by, blaring the Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye song by Steam.

It's a beautiful day.

I suspect what SG is suggesting is that they wouldn't necessarily vote as a block.

And while recent developments and the fear of being 'primaried' becoming a more distant threat may have given some Repugnican senators a bit more breathing space I am not sanguine about the odds that they will be much more willing to break away from the pack than they have been in the recent past. Certainly on any position of importance, and their evil dwarf leader will consider all positions to be ones of importance.

Anyone falling out of line will face swift and thorough retribution. Committee spots will become fewer and less attractive, for example. Supporter for pet projects will dry up. Etc.. McConnell has plenty of ways to punish recalcitrant and rebellious senators of his own party, and he won't hesitate to use them.

So, in general, I agree with you.
I was talking about the popular vote for senators in the country. Not that the GOP gives a ****.

Boris Johnson has said there is "more that unites than divides" him and Joe Biden as he pledged to work together to defend "common values and interests".

The UK prime minister told broadcasters he and the US president-elect shared a belief in democracy, human rights, free speech and free trade.

He also welcomed the "real prospect" of the US now showing "global leadership" on climate change.

Mr Johnson used his interview to reaffirm the importance of the relationship between the two countries, saying he and the new president had "crucial stuff" to get on with.

"The United States is our closest and most important ally, and that has been the case president after president, prime minister after prime minister - it won't change," he said.

First codetalkers, and now this. These guys care about saving democracy.

This is not directly related to that, but... their pottery and turquoise jewelry is also beautiful. Check it out and potentially buy some from them if you like. Here's a link that might help on that front. It's also probably worth noting that the Navaho people who live on that reservation tend to have income levels far below the poverty line, so every bit helps.
