He's bought the notion that since law books are thick and there are hundred's of Perry Mason episodes the law must be complicated and 1 million words expressing something must be better that 10 words. . .even if the ten words don't make sense.
Ah, the good old "magic spell needs magic words cause complicated" thought process.
BTW His site is really strange, it begins looking like an old Facebook page but then it dissolves into a not-very-funny parody of a newspaper article, complete with text columns.
I always found SovCit stuff weirdly fascinating - the thought process ties itself in loops as time goes on, to the point that they almost believe something completely different when compared to how it all began.
It generally begins when someone ends up googling whatever law, debt or conviction they're facing, instead of hiring a solicitor/lawyer (similar to someone looking on WebMD instead of seeing a doctor).
After reading a few sites you end up looking at blogs or articles written by someone who represented themselves in court, or tells you that can teach you how to defend yourself in court with ten easy steps - I mean, they wouldn't let people defend themselves if it wasn't possible to do it successfully?
Of course, it's now 3am and you're totally exhausted, stressed and just want an easy answer that is preferably cheaper than hiring someone to defend you. You're only needing to defend against this one law, so you don't need all that education and training, surely you can just study this one bit and be totally fine!
The more you read, the more you see others who've used this method, so why can't it work for you? So many people can't be wrong. Besides, you've had loopholes and small print used against you by insurers and parking companies yourself, so why can't you do the same thing? After all, it worked for the person who wrote this article and there are so many people online, going on about this process that you've never heard of before!
You're used to big faceless companies and authorities telling you what to do and how to do it. It makes sense that they're all conspiring together but there must be something they've missed, or are hiding from us - they must have some weakness, some Achilles heel that you can use against them.
It's now 4am and, after reading several SovCit sites, it's all beginning to make sense. They're all giving the same advice and using the same terms too, another clue that it's totally legit. Words can be twisted and can mean totally different things - the legal system is all about words, so in order to learn about law, you have to learn about the words - these words have power, they're special.
Besides, laws must be written down, so you just need to figure out what the words represent, like figuring out a code. Normal, everyday words mean something else in law, so how many other words have hidden meanings? Like the smallest small print ever!
After a couple more hours you've found a glossary of terms that SovCits say are the true meaning of the legal words. After trying some of them out they make a sort of sense, twisting the original sentence into something else entirely.
You've done it! You've learned how people such as lawyers/solicitors, judges etc. administer and use the justice system!
Of course, they need lots of training and education since they deal with lots of different cases, but you're just looking at one specific law and, besides, you always knew you were smarter than everyone else so it makes sense for you to learn everything so quickly.
So now you write a super-special-awesome letter to your opponent. You write it in the correct format, use the correct wording to make sure it looks like an official legal document, got it notarized then make sure you send copies to everyone you can think of 'cause that's how the legal process works. You've even used a template you've got online from a really popular SovCit forum and got a few of them to check it over before you sent it.
In the same way that you're now in debt for ignoring demand letters, as long as you tell everyone what you're doing, it's their fault if they don't do anything about it. It's just like using console commands in a PC game, but you've learned how to do it in Real Life!
As time passes you sit back, safe in the knowledge that you've done what you need to. Even if it doesn't work, you've set the foundation for a successful defence in court.
It doesn't work. You're summonsed to court.
Wait, this can't be right! You followed all the rules! You used the right words, the right paper, the right ink? It doesn't make sense!
Maybe you missed something. The articles were a little old so maybe the process has changed a bit. Or they know they're dealing with someone serious and want to stop you from showing the legal system up.
Yeah, you've asked a few people online, they've given you awesome tips and advice - they're just doing this for show.
You go to court and summarily reject the judges advice for you to get representation. The judge is so worried that he's trying to stop you from showing up the justice system and shutting the whole thing down! Besides, if you agree with anything the judge says then you automatically lose - that can't happen.
The trial date arrives. You ignore all instructions from the judge and ask for proof of his authority. You know that the judge can't refuse - if he does then the court must be disbanded and the case thrown out.
He ignores you. You repeat your challenge over and over again until the judge walks out in desperation.
Wait! Everyone on the forum said this would happen! It's indisputable evidence that it's actually working! As soon as he leaves you announce that you're now in charge, and hereby dismiss all charges - you've won!
You declare yourself a Sovereign Citizen and proceed to walk out of court a free citizen.
However, a guard stops you. He clearly doesn't know how the process works so you repeat that you've won and thrown the case out of court. Several times. Inexplicably this still doesn't stop him as you're illegally handcuffed & taken to a cell.
How could this happen?
Did you frighten them so much that they cannot allow you to go free and tell others? YES! That must be it!
You've done everything perfectly, everyone online tells you that you've done everything perfectly - this must be part of the conspiracy! You're gonna spend as much time as you can studying law in prison, there must be some hidden way to void this illegal imprisonment, so you will not rest until you find it!
This isn't over!!!
TLDR Version
Step One: Use the right words at the right time to stop legal processes dead in their tracks.
Step Two: Using the right words at the right time works but The Man will imprison you anyway to keep you silent.
Step Three: - PROFI... Oops, sorry, I mean: IMPRISONMENT!!!
